went to celebrate a bride with the bridal party for dinner last week. our server was fantastic, the atmosphere as great and the food was delicious. pair all of that with great company and good vibes, we had a night to remember. we had the burger, the fried okra, the burrata, braised lamb osso bucco, the scalloped potatoes, and finally the peanut butter cup for dessert. must.come.back
Had the best evening out at Citizen Soul. It as our first time and came highly recommended by our friend Scott L. He wasn't kidding - the food was fantastic and I can't get over the delicious, homemade peanut butter cup dessert. Will be back soon
My friend & I visited this Restaurant for the first time & we thought that the food was amazing. The food was fresh, didn’t take long to arrive to our table & our Waiter Andrew was amazing! We both got the same dish which was the Gluten Free Fried Chicken which came with grits & green beans. Everything was delicious!
Had a great dinner here tonight! Food was absolutely delicious and the service was top notch! In our party, we had the fried chicken, salmon and steak. All really enjoyed the entrees and we also had the pimento cheese fritters to start. 5 stars all around!
Great place to get some unique & tasty food. The pimento cheese fritters as the appetizer are out of this world. We highly recommend those. Our entrees were the fried chicken and the short rib. Both had a nice presentation and sides. We added a side of scalloped potatoes which were delicious. The atmosphere in the exterior dining area was great. It was very relaxing with good views. The service was very attentive. We will definitely return.
Holy cow this place is so good. Very clear the chef paid very close attention to textures and flavor amalgams. The key lime pie is probably the best I ever had. WOW!!

Had an absolutely stellar dinner at Citizen Soul tonight—hands down one of the best spots in Alpharetta for elevated Southern soul food with a modern twist. We shared the crab cakes (crispy perfection with a zesty remoulade) and grilled octopus (tender, smoky, and bursting with flavor from the charred edges). For mains, the redfish was flaky and buttery, seared just right with a light herb crust, and the fried chicken… oh man, that fried chicken was a revelation. It was gluten-free (which is huge for my wife, who’s strictly gluten-intolerant), and it didn’t skimp on the crunch or juiciness one bit—crispy exterior, moist inside, seasoned like a dream. Pro tip: Almost everything on their menu is naturally gluten-free or can be made that way, so it’s a safe haven for anyone with dietary restrictions without feeling like a compromise. Service was top-notch from start to finish—our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and made spot-on recommendations without hovering. Great experience at Citizen Soul! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the octopus and tuna was a standout. The melon arugula salad was fresh and well balanced, and the service was attentive throughout the meal. Definitely a great spot in Alpharetta for a nice dinner. Looking forward to coming back!
